From free camps to dump sites and Wi-Fi points to FaceTime the grandkids, we’ve compiled a list of things you need to know to make sure your memories of the destination are as memorable as the journey you’ve taken to get here.

Stay Connected

The libraries in Goondiwindi, Inglewood and Texas have free Wi-Fi and internet facilities available.  Access is available for 800 MB or 8 hrs of free Wi-Fi (whichever is reached first) per day.  The first half hour of internet time on the library computers is free – just note, printing charges do apply. For your digital-dose, simply pop into our library service centres for information on how to connect.

Alternatively, the main streets of Goondiwindi, Inglewood or Texas are also Wi-Fi connected. Simply open your smartphone settings and connect to the free Wi-Fi and stay connected to loved ones back home.

Dump Points

Goondiwindi

• 1 Anderson Street, Goondiwindi (located within Redmond park where there’s also public toilets and park benches. Driver Reviver in select times of year also located here)
• Goondiwindi Showgrounds, 323 Boundary Road (available to paying guests only)
• Ampol Service Station, 227 Boundary Road Goondiwindi

Texas:

• The dump point can be found at the council depot, Lot 67 Flemming Street

Inglewood

• A free dump point is located opposite the toilet block, at the Inglewood Apex Lions Park (12 Albert Street) on the Brook Street side

Talwood:

• Head to 29 Recreation St, North Talwood. This free public dump point also offers drinking water

Yelarbon:

• A dump point is available at the Yelarbon Rec Grounds on Wyemo Street. A gold coin donation is encouraged

Please note for route planning purposes there are no dump points located in the township of Toobeah. 

Showers

For those free camping across the region, your best bet for a warm shower is one of the many truck stops across our towns. During the day only, the Goondiwindi Heritage & Water Park (76 Johnston Road) also has shower facilities, but please note camping is not permitted here, and the gates do close overnight. 

Water Refill Points

• Goondiwindi: a paid water refill point is located at the Council Depot on West Street that merges into the Gore Highway
• Texas: the free public dump point also offers paid drinking water for a minimum $5 card charge (Lot 67 Flemming Street, Texas)
• Inglewood: you’ll find a paid water refill station located next to the dump point - opposite the toilet block, at the Inglewood Apex Lions Park (12 Albert Street) on the Brook Street side
• Talwood: 29 Recreation St, North Talwood, Queensland. This free public dump point offers drinking water

Please note for route planning purposes there are no water refill points located in our townships of Toobeah or Yelarbon.
