Whetstone Rest Area

Waterfront campsites, bitumen bases and shady surroundings for a price tag of zero dollars may sound too good to be true, but the Whetstone Rest Area just 26km northeast of Yelarbon on the Cunningham Highway is just that. This free campsite allows RV operators and campers to park up for a maximum of 14 days on the banks of the Macintyre Brook Grove and soak up the serenity. This site features minimal amenities so it’s recommended you come prepared with toilet, shower and rubbish kits should you want to stay for an extended period.
