Salisbury Bridge

Constructed in 1942, the purpose of the Salisbury Bridge was to transport stock over the Macintyre River. This bridge holds significance in Goondiwindi due to it being a rare example of a purpose-built stock bridge, and nod to the extensive network of stock routes that had been developed by the early 20th century. The bridge is a timeless reminder of the major role that Goondiwindi played in those routes.
