Lararium Retreat

Laranium Retreat extends an invitation for travellers to enjoy the luxury of stillness, serenity and comfort within its off-grid, refurbished woolshed on a fourth generation working cattle farm. Found in Big Sky Country outside Thallon, Laranium Retreat is tucked between fields filled with wheat, barley, chickpeas and cattle. The cottage itself holds the same county charm, where the outside maintains its original woolshed appearance, while the inside teams with character thanks to the corrugated iron walls, vaulted timber-framed ceilings and original wooden floors complemented with modern furnishings. Guests can enjoy three bedrooms, an open-plan lounge, a dining area and a full kitchen, although, with breakfast and gourmet sunset hampers provided by your hosts (plus a selection of beverages in the fridge), you’ll find many of your meals already prepared. Sip a cuppa out on the patio that offers views of the country’s stunning sunsets, fire up the Webber BBQ to sear a juicy steak and end your evening with tall tales by the outdoor campfire. During your stay, take yourself on a self-guided farm safari in their zippy, three-seater buggy and check the map provided by your hosts to see the best spots for sunset sipping, yabbie catching and bushwalking.
