Located 19km west of Goondiwindi on the Barwon Highway, the Callandoon Pioneers Cemetery contains only six graves, with only two of which still having head stones standing. Callandoon was once home to a post office, police station, jail, and a CPS office. However, by 1862 Callandoon had lost its purpose with the development of a jail and police station in Goondiwindi. The cemetery stands as a nod to the passage of time.
